1 Day Beginner Beekeeping Intensive
In 2018, Blythewood Bee Company will be offering 3 beginner beekeeping course dates to prepare the beginner with the knowledge needed to start beekeeping with the Spring 2018 nectar flow. Classes will meet on the following dates:
Saturday, January 27th, 9 AM to 5 PM (classroom & Fieldwork) BBQ Lunch Included (SOLD OUT)

FIELD WORK WILL BE ON A “WEATHER PERMITTING BASIS”.
Cost per class is $95 per person. Seating is limited to 25 per class. You will need to have protective gear if you wish to participate in our field work. You can purchase it the day of our class if you wish.
No prior knowledge is required. This course is designed to take the person with an interest, but no beekeeping knowledge, to an understanding of beekeeping and starting their first hives.
Each Day Course Includes:
-Beekeeping for Dummies Book
-Half day classroom and half day field work (weather permitting) which includes going into active hives.

Our beginner beekeeper course concentrates on the basics of beekeeping and is taught by Scott Derrick. After classes have ended you will have a wide support group with Blythewood Beekeepers Association to assist you in practical beekeeping matters.
