Use:

The most important thing your beehive’s solid bottom board needs to do is sufficiently support the weight of the entire hive. Our solid bottom boards are made from high-quality pine wood to ensure your beehive is stable and secure. When you purchase our solid bottom boards, we highly recommend you prime and paint them, or treat the raw wood with a wood preservative to maximize their lifespan. Just make sure it’s fully dry and fume free before allowing bees to enter the hive.

An added bonus of purchasing your solid bottom boards from the Blythewood Bee Company is that they come fully assembled. We have our bottom boards available for 5-, 8- and 10-frame setups. We also sell a screened bottom board, which has the added benefit of allowing you to easily check for mites in your hive.
