A fully ventilated jacket is the right tool for summer inspections in hot, humid climates — a solid cotton jacket turns into a sauna by the second hive. The mesh construction lets sweat evaporate and air move through, while still being dense enough that bees can't sting through. The included fencing veil gives you good clear forward visibility (better than a square veil for reading frames at arm's length) and zips on and off so you can remove it for travel or storage.
