NO Varroa Oxalic Acid Vaporizer
The NO Varroa oxalic acid vaporizer is a pan-style wand that sublimates oxalic acid crystals to treat a colony for varroa mites. The metal tray holds the crystals, the long wand slides in through the hive entrance, and a wooden handle keeps your hand off the heat. A removable entrance sealer helps hold the vapor in the box.
How it is used
Used on outdoor colonies with the entrance restricted: seal the upper entrances and cracks, slide the loaded tray in through the bottom entrance, and apply power until the crystals have sublimated — usually under five minutes. Heavy-gauge cables connect it to a 12-volt battery. Always follow the rates, timing, and protective-equipment directions on your oxalic acid product's label.
