The NoVarroa oxalic acid vaporizer treats Varroa mites from the hive entrance, so you can vaporize a colony without opening the box or disturbing the bees. A metal pan holds the oxalic acid crystals, a long wand slides in through the bottom entrance, and a wooden handle keeps your hand well off the heat.

Features

  • Entrance-style application: the wand slides in through the bottom entrance — no need to open the hive.
  • Metal sublimation pan: holds the oxalic acid crystals and heats them to vapor.
  • Wooden handle: keeps your hand off the hot pan during treatment.
  • Removable entrance sealer: helps hold the vapor inside the hive.
  • Heavy-gauge cables: connect to any 12-volt battery.

How it works

Restrict the colony's entrances, seal upper cracks, then slide the loaded pan in through the bottom entrance and apply power until the crystals have fully sublimated — usually under five minutes. The heavy-gauge cables connect to a standard 12-volt battery. Always follow the rates, timing, and protective-equipment directions on your oxalic acid product's label.
