How it works (in real life)
Attach wax queen cell cups to the grooved bars using melted beeswax; a turkey baster and a pot of warm beeswax works well for this. Make sure the cups are firmly attached so they do not fall off during grafting or as the queens develop. Once the cups are secure, graft your larvae into them and place the prepared frame into a queen cell building box. A 5-frame nuc makes a good cell building box.
Before you order
The frame holds the cell cups but does not include cell cups. You will also need a way to build cells, such as a queenless cell builder or nuc.
