Acorn Green Drone Comb – Deep & Medium
Green drone comb gives beekeepers a simple, chemical-free way to keep varroa mites in check. Queens prefer to lay drone eggs in its larger cells, so these one-piece frames concentrate drone brood in one spot — easy to inspect, and easy to lift out and freeze to break the mite breeding cycle. The bright green color makes drone comb easy to find at a glance during a hive check.
Acorn molds each frame as a single piece of food-grade plastic with a heavy beeswax coating, so it drops straight into the hive with no assembly and no separate foundation to wire or wedge. Reinforced end bars resist bowing and warping, and the deep cell pattern encourages bees to draw clean drone comb.
