Feed two gallons of syrup in a single fill — and let your bees drink it safely. This deep in-hive feeder hangs inside your hive like a frame, with a snap-on cap and mesh ladders that keep bees out of the syrup until it's time to climb in.

Features

  • Holds approximately 2 gallons of syrup
  • Replaces 1–2 frames in a deep hive body
  • Includes snap-on cap with built-in mesh ladders
  • Textured inner walls give bees traction
  • Heavy-duty black polypropylene
  • Free clips included
  • Made in the USA

How it works

Hang the feeder between frames in your deep hive body just like a regular frame. Snap the support bars into place across the trough opening, insert the mesh ladders, and snap the cap on top. Pour syrup through the gap in the cap. Bees enter through the cap, climb down the mesh ladders, drink, and climb back out — without drowning. The cap keeps debris out and slows robbing.

FAQ

Will this fit a medium or shallow hive body? No — sized for deep hive bodies only. For mediums, look at the Mother Lode Medium feeders.

Do I need to buy the cap-n-ladder separately? No, it's included with this set.

How often will I refill it? Depends on colony size and time of year. A strong colony in spring can drain a 2-gallon feeder in a few days.

Can I leave it in over winter? Most beekeepers pull liquid feeders before sustained cold weather. Bees stop taking syrup below ~50°F.
