Ingredients & Beneficial Microbes
This probiotic contains a carefully selected blend of beneficial bacteria, each chosen for its unique role in supporting honeybee health:
- Bacillus subtilis: Promotes gut health by breaking down complex carbohydrates and producing enzymes that aid digestion. Also helps inhibit harmful bacteria through natural antimicrobial compounds.
- Bacillus licheniformis: Supports a balanced gut environment and contributes to nutrient absorption, especially proteins and amino acids.
- Bacillus pumilus: Known for producing enzymes that aid in digestion and for promoting resilience in harsh environmental conditions.
- Bacillus coagulans: Enhances immune response and stabilizes gut flora under stress. Especially beneficial during transport, requeening, or hive splits.
- Lactobacillus acidophilus: A foundational probiotic that helps balance gut pH, improves nutrient uptake, and supports general immune function.
- Lactobacillus casei: Aids in fermentation of sugars, assists digestion, and helps suppress the growth of opportunistic pathogens.
- Lactobacillus plantarum: Known for its antimicrobial properties and ability to reinforce the bees’ natural defenses while improving digestion.
- Bifidobacterium bifidum: Supports long-term immune health and helps maintain a stable microbial population in the gut.
- Enterococcus faecium: Encourages rapid establishment of beneficial gut bacteria and supports resistance against microbial imbalances.
