Hive Closure and 8 Frame Plastic Beehive Landing Board
A dual-purpose plastic landing board for 8-frame hives. Screwed to the front of the hive it gives returning foragers a wide platform to land on; used the other way it works as a hive closure and moving screen to shut the entrance while a colony is being relocated. Fits 8-frame equipment only.
Features
- Wide plastic landing platform for the front of an 8-frame hive
- Doubles as a hive closure / moving screen for relocating a colony
- Durable plastic — wipes clean and won't rot
- Mounting screws are not included
How it works in real life
Mounted to the hive front, the board extends the entrance into a broad landing strip, giving heavily laden foragers an easier touchdown. When it's time to move the colony, the same board serves as a closure that blocks the entrance for transport. It attaches with screws you supply — hardware isn't included — and fits 8-frame hives.
Before you order
This board fits 8-frame hives only. You'll need your own screws to mount it; none are included in the package.
