Enoz Paramoth 20oz Bag
Enoz Para-Moth is paradichlorobenzene (PDB) crystals for protecting stored drawn comb from wax moths during the off-season. Unprotected comb in storage can be destroyed by wax moths in weeks; PDB vapor in a sealed stack of supers keeps them out. This is the 20 oz bag.
Features
- Paradichlorobenzene (PDB) crystals — the type used for comb storage, not naphthalene mothballs
- Protects stored drawn comb and woodenware from wax moths
- Slow-subliming crystals for season-long protection in a sealed stack
- For storing supers and frames between seasons
- 20 oz bag
How it works in real life
Stack the supers of drawn comb you want to store. Place the labeled amount of PDB crystals on a paper plate or tray on the top bars, then close the stack — a lid and bottom board, or a sealed bin or bag — so the heavier-than-air vapor settles down through the comb. Check the stack over the season and replenish the crystals as they sublimate away.
Before you put treated comb back on a hive, set it out in the open air for several days so the PDB fully dissipates. Never expose bees to the crystals or to comb that still smells of them.
Before you order
- Use only paradichlorobenzene for comb — never naphthalene mothballs.
- Keep crystals and treated comb away from bees; air comb out fully in the open before returning it to a hive.
- Use in a sealed stack or container so the vapor works rather than dispersing.
- Follow the product label for amounts and handling, and keep away from children, pets, and food.
Pairs Well With
- Para-Moth Crystal Drawer (10-Frame) — holds the crystals neatly on top of a stored super
- Para-Moth 4 oz Bag — smaller size for fewer supers

FAQ
What is it used for?
Protecting stored drawn comb and supers from wax moth damage between seasons.
Is it safe to use around bees?
No. Keep the crystals and treated comb away from bees, and air comb out fully in the open before returning it to a hive.
Why PDB instead of regular mothballs?
Only paradichlorobenzene is appropriate for comb storage. Common naphthalene mothballs should not be used on beekeeping equipment.
How much do I use and how often?
Follow the amount on the product label for your stack size, and replenish as the crystals sublimate over the storage season.
