How it works

Each frame is already glued and nailed into a rigid rectangle with a sheet of Acorn foundation locked into the grooved top and bottom bars. Hang ten in a standard 10-frame deep box (or use what an 8-frame box holds) and you're done — the heavy wax coat gets bees drawing comb quickly, often within days during a flow. When it's time to harvest, the plastic core is stiff enough to spin in any radial or tangential extractor without blowing out.
