How it works (in real life)
Most beekeeping families discover quickly that kids want to be part of hive work. A child-sized suit lets them participate safely without you spending the whole inspection nervously watching for exposed skin. The suit closes everywhere a kid might have a gap — wrists, ankles, neck — and the attached veil keeps bees off the face without restricting visibility.
For the youngest sizes (6XS through 4XS), measure your child's height and chest before ordering. Kids grow fast — many beekeeping parents buy one size up to extend the useful life of the suit.

What age is each size?
Sizing varies by child build. As a rough guide: 6XS fits typical 2–3 year olds, 4XS fits 4–6, 2XS fits 7–9, XS fits 10–12, Small fits 12–14, Medium and Large fit older kids and small teens. Measure first if you're unsure — kids vary widely.
Is the veil safe for a child to wear?
Yes — the fencing veil keeps full visibility while preventing bees from reaching the face. Make sure the zipper is fully closed before going to the hive and check that no skin is exposed.
Can my child wear regular clothes underneath?
Yes, and they should — a t-shirt and shorts or light pants underneath is normal. The suit itself is lightweight, so the layer underneath isn't suffocating in summer.
Are these suits the same as the adult Bee Shield suits, just smaller?
