Stainless Steel Feeder Jar Lid (Regular Mouth)
A rust-proof stainless steel replacement lid for standard regular-mouth feeder jars. No more replacing rusted galvanized lids every season — these stainless lids outlast the jar they sit on. Perfect for Boardman feeders, mason jar feeders, and DIY feeder setups.
Features
- 304-grade stainless steel — won't rust or corrode
- Won't seize to jar threads (a common galvanized lid failure)
- Pre-drilled feeding holes optimized for bee access
- Removable O-ring for easy cleaning
- Fits standard regular-mouth feeder jars and mason jars
- Reusable indefinitely with proper care
How it works
Thread the stainless lid onto any standard regular-mouth feeder jar or mason jar (70mm / regular-mouth thread). The pre-drilled holes let bees access the syrup through capillary action and atmospheric pressure when the jar is inverted. The O-ring seals against the jar lip to prevent leaks. To use: fill the jar with syrup, screw on the lid, invert quickly over your Boardman feeder base or hive entrance, and let atmospheric pressure hold the syrup in place.

FAQ
Will this fit a wide-mouth mason jar? No — regular-mouth (70mm) only. Wide-mouth mason jars need a different lid size.
Will it fit a Boardman feeder? Yes — sized for the same jars our Plastic Boardman and Wood & Metal Boardman feeders use.
How do I clean it? Remove the O-ring, boil it briefly, then soak the O-ring in mild bleach water for 15 minutes to overnight. Rinse both parts with scent-free dish soap. Stainless lid itself can be washed normally.
Why stainless instead of galvanized? Galvanized lids rust within 1–2 seasons of contact with sugar syrup; stainless lasts indefinitely. Worth the extra cost on the first replacement.
