The "9 oz" refers to brimful capacity. Practical fill is 8 fl oz, leaving small headspace for the lid's vacuum seal. Honey weight at fill is about 12 oz. The 58-LUG cap matches our 6 oz hex jars but won't fit our 1.5 oz hex (43-LUG), 9 oz hex (63-LUG), Muth jars (cork), or Skep jars (53 CT). For production volume, the case of 12 is the better value.
