How it works (in real life)

A jacket covers the upper body where most stings land, without the heat or cost of a full suit. This one is solid cotton rather than mesh, so it trades summer airflow for durability — the reason removal crews favored it for rough work. The thumb loops are the detail that earns their keep: they hold the sleeve ends down so the cuff stays sealed against your glove instead of riding up your forearm mid-inspection. The hood detaches for washing or to swap a different veil. For hot-weather work, a ventilated mesh jacket breathes better.
