Herbal Smoker Fuel - 54 Count Pack
This herbal smoker fuel is built to do one thing well: produce cool, steady smoke that calms your bees so you can work a hive without riling the colony. Each pellet is made from compressed botanical material, lights from the edge, and smolders 15–20 minutes — long enough to get through an inspection on a single pellet or two.
Features
- 54 pellets per pack
- Cool, steady smoke for calming bees during inspections
- Burns about 15–20 minutes per pellet
- Botanical pellets — light the edge and let them smolder
- Sized for standard stainless steel beekeeping smokers (each pellet about 0.66″ × 1.06″)
How it works in real life
Light a pellet at the edge until it catches, drop it in your smoker, and work the bellows to get a cool stream of smoke going. A few puffs at the entrance and over the top bars masks the alarm pheromone and settles the colony, so frames come apart with less defensive behavior. Because each pellet burns 15–20 minutes, you can usually get through an inspection without re-loading — and there's no chopping, stuffing, or hunting for dry kindling.
Before you order
Pellets are sized for a standard stainless steel smoker. You'll need a smoker to burn them in — see the Budget Stainless Steel Smoker or the Pro Copper Bee Smoker. Prefer a fabric fuel? Try our knitted cotton smoker circles.
