Swarm Trooper Trap + Swarm Commander® Lure Kit
The Swarm Trooper swarm trap kit pairs a research-backed honeybee swarm trap with a bottle of Swarm Commander® premium lure, so you have everything you need to start catching wild swarms the day it arrives. The trap is built to the cavity volume and entrance size that scout bees look for, and the included 2 oz lure spray gives passing swarms the pheromone cue that draws them in.
Features
- Complete bee swarm trap with lure — flat-pack Swarm Trooper trap plus a 2 oz Swarm Commander® lure spray in one kit
- Trap holds 6 standard Langstroth frames (deep or medium), so a captured swarm builds comb on real frames for an easy transfer
- Lightweight at about 3 lbs assembled — easy to hoist 8–15 feet up a tree on a single rope
- Weather-resistant 4 mm corrugated polypropylene (CON-Pearl board), UV-stable for seasons of outdoor use
- Closable entrance and rotating ventilation disc — seal the swarm in, then open the vent for airflow during transport
- Swarm Commander® lure: 2 oz spray, a pheromone scent that draws scout bees, quick to apply
How it works (in real life)
Set the trap 8–15 feet off the ground in a shaded spot near a tree line, facing south or southeast. Spray the inside with the Swarm Commander® lure to mimic the scent of an established hive, then check the trap weekly through swarm season. When a swarm moves in, seal the entrance at dusk after the foragers are home, rotate the vent disc open for airflow, and move the trap to your apiary. Because the trap takes standard Langstroth frames, you can lift the bees straight into a permanent hive on the comb they have already started.

FAQ
What comes in the kit?
A flat-pack Swarm Trooper swarm trap and a 2 oz bottle of Swarm Commander® premium lure spray — enough to bait the trap and start catching swarms right away.
Do I really need a lure?
You can catch the occasional swarm with an unbaited trap, but a pheromone lure dramatically raises your catch rate during active swarm season. That's why the trap and lure are bundled here.
Where should I place the trap?
Eight to fifteen feet off the ground, shaded, near a tree line, facing south or southeast. Scout bees prefer cavities that are elevated, sheltered, and warmed by morning sun.
Does the trap come assembled?
No — it ships flat to keep shipping reasonable and assembles in about 10 minutes with no tools.
How long does the lure last?
The 2 oz spray covers a trap per application. For longer unattended coverage, the Super Lure (about 90 days) or crush vials linked above are good companions.
