Swarm Commander® Premium Swarm Lure Spray is a fast way to bait a swarm trap or empty hive with the pheromone scout bees follow. A couple of sprays inside a box reads as a strong nest site, drawing passing swarms in so you can establish new colonies with very little effort. Each 2 oz bottle holds hundreds of doses, so one bottle baits a lot of traps.

Features

  • 2 oz fine-mist sprayer — hundreds of doses per bottle
  • Pheromone lure that attracts passing honeybee swarms
  • Safe for bees and wildlife when used as directed
  • 2-year shelf life stored in a temperature-controlled space

How it works in real life

Scout bees choose a home by scent. A light application inside a trap or hive mimics an established colony and pulls a passing swarm in. One package of bees runs about $165, so a single bottle of spray — hundreds of doses — pays for itself the first time it lands a swarm.

How to use it

  • Mount your swarm trap 6–8 feet off the ground, ideally along a wood line.
  • In a hive: two sprays on the underside of the inner cover, and one to two on the bottom-board entrance.
  • In a swarm trap: one spray inside and one at the entrance.
  • Check for activity every 7–10 days and reapply if needed.

Do not apply more than the directions suggest. More is not better — this product is very strong, and too much will repel bees from entering the hive.

FAQ

How much do I spray?
Very little — one to two sprays per spot. Over-applying repels bees, so stay at or below the directions.

How long does a bottle last?
A 2 oz bottle holds hundreds of doses and baits many traps over a season.

Is it safe for bees?
Yes, when used as directed.

How is it different from the Super Lure?
The spray is applied and reapplied as needed; the Super Lure is a hang-up that lasts about 90 days on its own.
