Swarm Commander Premium Swarm Lure - Crush Vials 5 Pack
Swarm Commander Crush Vials are a fast, mess-free way to bait your swarm traps. Crush the vial, swab the trap's landing board, and the pheromone-based lure attracts scout bees for at least 20 days — no measuring, no mixing, no spillage in your gear bag. Sold in packs of 5.
Why Beekeepers Choose Swarm Commander Crush Vials
- Effortless application: Crush the glass vial, swab the landing board, drop it inside the trap — done in under 30 seconds per box
- Long-lasting: A single application stays effective for at least 20 days, covering most of swarm season between refreshes
- Pheromone-based formula: Mimics the natural attractants scout bees look for when scouting nest sites
- Five vials per pack: Enough to bait 5 separate swarm traps or refresh one trap throughout the season
- 2-year shelf life: Stock up ahead of season — sealed vials stay potent in storage
How to Use Swarm Commander Crush Vials
Place your swarm trap in a shaded spot 8-15 feet off the ground, ideally near a tree line. Crush one vial in your gloved hand or between two surfaces, then swab the broken vial across the inside walls and landing board of the trap. Toss the spent vial inside the trap. Refresh every 2-3 weeks during active swarm season for best results.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does one vial last in a swarm trap?
Each crushed vial remains effective for a minimum of 20 days. For peak swarm season, refresh every 2-3 weeks to maintain maximum attractiveness.
Can I use these in any swarm trap?
Yes. Crush vials work in any swarm trap or empty hive box you're using as bait — wood, plastic, fiber, or cardboard nuc traps.
How many vials do I need per trap?
One vial per trap per application. A 5-pack covers either five separate trap locations or refills one trap throughout swarm season.
When should I set out baited swarm traps?
Set traps roughly 2-4 weeks before your area's typical swarm season begins. In most of the Southeast, that means late March through May. Local timing varies by climate and floral source.
Are these safe for the bees that move in?
Yes. Once bees occupy the trap, the lure scent dissipates naturally and has no adverse effect on the colony.
