An assembled 8-frame deep Langstroth hive body in select-grade yellow pine with box-joint corners — the brood-chamber box itself, built square and ready for frames. The 8-frame box is lighter to handle than a 10-frame. Because assembled boxes don't ship well, this is sold local pickup only.

How it works in real life
The deep hive body is the brood chamber — the bottom box where the queen lays and the colony raises its young. This is the assembled box on its own; add frames and foundation, paint the exterior, and set it on a bottom board. The box joints give plenty of glue surface so the corners stay square through years of lifting and weather.
