Heavy-Duty Brass Eyelets for Beekeeping Frames
Brass frame eyelets reinforce the wiring holes in wooden frame end bars so tight frame wire can't gouge into the soft wood. The brass grommet spreads the wire's pressure and keeps tension from cutting in — so your wires stay taut and your comb stays straight through inspections, transport, and extraction.
Features
- Protects end-bar holes from wire cutting into the wood.
- Holds wire tension for straighter, stronger comb.
- Corrosion-resistant solid brass.
- Sold in 100-count and 1000-count packs.
How it works
Punch an eyelet into each pre-drilled wiring hole in the frame end bar, then run your frame wire through it. The brass lining keeps the taut wire from sawing into the wood over time, so the foundation stays supported.
Pairs well with
- Spur Wire Embedder — to bond the wire into the wax once it's strung.
- Crimp Wire Beeswax Foundation — the wax foundation for wired frames.
