Mini J-Hook Hive Tool

The mini J-hook hive tool is a short, hooked hive tool for close, precise work in the hive. The hooked end levers tight frames up and out, the notch grips so a propolis-stuck frame comes loose, and a built-in nail puller adds a second job. Its small size reaches spots a full hive tool can't.

How beekeepers use it

Hook the end under a frame lug or between glued boxes and lever up; the notch gives a grip point so the frame breaks free of the propolis without a fight. The short profile is handy in nucs and tight corners, and the nail puller handles the odd loose frame nail. Rinse and reuse.
