JZBZ Queen Cell Protectors
The push-in queen cell protector shields a ripe queen cell from worker bees that would otherwise chew through its side and kill the developing queen. Each plastic protector pushes into the comb around the cell and leaves the tip open so the virgin queen can emerge on her own. Sold 100 to a pack.
How to use it
Seat a ripe queen cell into the protector and push the protector into the comb so it surrounds the cell, open end down for the queen to emerge. The plastic wall keeps bees from chewing into the side of the cell while it finishes and hatches. The protectors also keep cells safe in transit between yards.
