Plastic Pollen Trap
Harvest fresh, bee-collected pollen straight from your own hives. This molded plastic pollen trap mounts at the entrance of a 10-frame colony, so returning foragers pass through a pollen-stripping grid that drops clean granules into a protected tray — ready for you to collect, dry, and store.
Features
- Tough molded-plastic body — lightweight, weather-resistant, and easy to rinse between harvests
- Pollen-stripping grid sized so foragers can pass while shedding their pollen loads
- Removable collection tray for quick, mess-free harvesting
- Ventilated design helps keep gathered pollen dry
- Run it only when you want to collect, then let foragers pass freely
- Sized for 10-frame hives — buy a single trap or save with the 3-pack
How it works
- Install the trap at the hive entrance in the orientation that fits your 10-frame equipment.
- Returning foragers crawl through the stripping grid, which gently scrapes pollen pellets from their legs.
- Pellets fall into the tray below, kept separate from the bees.
- Empty the tray every day or two during a strong flow, then dry or freeze your harvest.
Before you order
- Fits 10-frame equipment.
- Trap intermittently so the colony still brings in enough pollen for brood rearing.
- Harvest often in humid weather; fresh pollen draws moisture and can mold if left in the tray.

FAQ
Will the trap hurt my bees? No — the grid is sized to let foragers pass through; it only scrapes loose pollen pellets from their legs.
How long can I leave it on? Use it intermittently. Running a trap continuously can starve the brood nest of pollen, so collect for a few days at a time and then open the hive back up.
What's in the 3-pack? Three identical 10-frame plastic pollen traps at a lower per-unit price — handy if you're trapping across several hives.
