Plastic Beekeeping Queen Clip
The plastic queen clip is a clear, spring-loaded clip for catching and holding the queen — and because it is transparent, you can keep an eye on her the whole time she is in it. Squeeze it open, set it over the queen on the comb, and release; the slotted sides let workers pass while keeping the queen contained and breathing.
Why clear plastic
The see-through body lets you watch the queen while you carry her, mark her, or check her over, so you always know where she is in the clip. It is light, inexpensive, and easy to rinse.
How to use it
Open the clip, place it gently over the queen on the frame, and let it close around her. Move her, cage her for marking, or inspect her, then open the clip to release her — working over the open hive so she drops toward the frames if she slips loose.
